PARIS, July 9 (Reuters) - BNP Paribas BNPP.PA has
hired Richard Newman as managing director of its UK-based
advisory team, the lender said, as it aims to expand its private
equity clientele.
Newman, 41, is joining from M&A boutique Perella Weinberg
Partners PWP.O , where he was also managing director, based in
London.
Previously he worked at Moelis & Company MC.N and
Citigroup C.N .
The arrival of Newman, who'll report to BNP's head of
advisory in Britain, Kirshlen Moodley, brings the number of
investment bankers on BNP's advisory team to 13.
The bank aims to increase its market share in London's
competitive M&A market.
