Hungary's MOL says talks about NIS acquisition "ongoing"

BUDAPEST, April 27 (Reuters) - Hungarian oil group MOL's talks about the purchase of a Russian stake in Serbia's NIS NIIS.BEL oil company are ongoing in line with a framework agreement signed earlier, MOL said in an emailed reply to Reuters questions on Monday.

On January 19, MOL signed an agreement to buy a combined Gazprom Neft and Gazprom 56% stake in NIS which is under US sanctions. The U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) gave companies until May 22 to complete the sale.
