April 15 (Reuters) - Slovnaft, the Slovak unit of Hungarian oil and gas group MOL MOLB.BU, said on Wednesday there has still been no final agreement with Croatia's pipeline operator JANAF on thorough testing of the Adria pipeline.
The pipeline is a key alternative route for non-Russian oil to Hungary and Slovakia, and the importance of it has grown with the stoppage of the Druzhba pipeline and EU efforts to diversify away from Russian oil.
Slovnaft's Chief Executive Gabriel Szabo said in a broadcast news conference that tests of the entire Adria pipeline, and in all seasonal conditions, were needed to discover whether it had sufficient capacity to serve the two countries as stated by Croatia.
The two firms had previously agreed on the testing to start in March, according to MOL.
