Major US health insurers fall after lower Medicare rate proposal

** U.S. President Donald Trump's administration has proposed an average rate increase of just 0.09% in Medicare payments to insurers next year, the government says

** The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services says the proposal would amount to more than $700 million in additional Medicare Advantage payments in 2027

** UnitedHealth UNH.N falls 10.5%, Humana HUM.N shares fall 13.7%, CVS CVS.N sheds 9.5%

** Elevance Health ELV.N down 4.5% and Molina Healthcare MOH.N falls 4.3%
