>> Sports Professor Rick Horrow, I went to the $1.3 trillion business of
sports in sports news minute. Oura hires Tom Hale as it's new CEO with a
public offering in mind. Former SurveyMonkey executive was hired with a
fitness wearable company valued at 2.55 billion. Hale helped take
SurveyMonkey's parent company Momentive public in 2018 and will lead all it's
growth efforts to eventually launch in IPO according to Bloomberg.
Finland-based Oura announced in March, had reached a million in sales of its
Oura ring, which had signed athlete health, tracking partnerships with WNBA,
NBA, NASCAR, UFC, and others. Investors included NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal,
Elysian Park Ventures, Google's Gradient Ventures, and others. Bottom line is,
they will continue to enhance their sleep staging algorithm among the features
that Oura adds to it's Gen 3 ring this year as well. Pale also previously
