Street View: Chocolate lovers pay up, Mondelez cashes in

** Mondelez International MDLZ.O beat Wall Street estimates for first-quarter revenue and profit on Tuesday, helped by resilient demand for its chocolates and biscuits, along with higher prices

** Following the results, at least seven brokerages raised PT on the stock

** Shares of Oreo-maker rise nearly 1.5% to $59.42 premarket

WELL-POSITIONED TO RETURN TO VOLUME GROWTH

** J.P. Morgan ("Overweight," PT: $70) sees MDLZ as an uncommon U.S. food company that is well positioned to return to volume growth over time, which should ultimately support outsized earnings growth

** Morgan Stanley ("Overweight," PT: $71) sees clear visibility into sequential improvement in fundamentals, driven by strong organic sales growth momentum and cocoa cost deflation in the second half, supporting positive EPS growth.

** TD Cowen ("Buy," PT: $67) says that while MDLZ plans to reinvest much of the benefit into emerging markets, it believes the company can still deliver strong earnings growth and deserves a higher valuation given the improved visibility

** Piper Sandler ("Neutral," PT: $65) says MDLZ has a strong innovation pipeline across brand renovations, new launches, and pricing actions, with fewer but larger bets and solid in-store execution
