Morphosys edges up after new results from ongoing cancer drug trial

** Shares of Morphosys  MORG.DE  rise 2.5% in early
Frankfurt trade after the German biotech group on Sunday
announced new results for its pelabresib drug in myelofibrosis,
a type of bone marrow cancer with limited treatment options
    ** Morphosys says tests in an ongoing phase 2 trial showed
durable improvements in both spleen volume and symptom score
beyond 24 weeks with pelabresib plus ruxolitinib in JAK
inhibitor-naïve patients
    ** "Who cares after Alzheimer indication flopped a month
ago?" a local trader says, however, referring to gantenerumab's
failure to meet its goal
    ** Morphosys shares are on top of Germany's small-cap index
in early Frankfurt trade
