 Mothercare plc announces that UBS Asset Management (Traditional Entities) has
informed the Company that it has increased its indirect interest in Mothercare
plc ordinary shares to over 5%. 
 
 UBS Asset Management (Traditional Entities) now hold 8,599,346 shares or
5.03% of Mothercare plc ordinary shares through UBS Asset Management (UK)
Limited (8,400,457 shares) and UBS Asset Management Life Limited (198,889
