UNITED STATES NAVY CONTRACTS
MS INTERNATIONAL plc is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary
MSI-Defence Systems US LLC (based in Rock Hill, South Carolina, U.S.A.) has
been awarded a further contract by the United States Navy (NAVSEA). This
follows our response to a Request for Quotation (RFQ) from NAVSEA, as advised
by Michael Bell in the Chairman's Statement of the Annual Report for the year
ended 30 April 2025.
This contract was awarded on a sole source basis for the continued supply to
the US Navy of the MK88 MOD4 MSI-DS Stabilised Gun Mounts (which is the US
Navy nomenclature for our MSI-DS Naval Gun Mount). The contract commences with
immediate effect, with Gun Mounts and associated Maintenance Assist Modules
and On Board Repair Parts providing a total contract value of $34.5m. Delivery
of all equipment is for no later than 30 December 2026.
Earlier communications with shareholders indicated that "MSI" was hoping for a
longer term contract with NAVSEA. NAVSEA has decided that, for the time
being, it is more efficient and productive to award contracts annually in the
future, which also gives them extra flexibility. Relationships between the two
organisations remain extremely good and we are confident of our ability to
continue to work together in the longer term.
We are also pleased to announce that MSI-Defence Systems US LLC has secured a
contract amendment with NAVSEA in relation to an existing contract for the
supply of the MSI-DS Electro-Optical Sight Systems (which US Navy nomenclature
identifies as the US Mk48 MOD2 Electro-Optical Sight Systems) as part of our
MSI-DS 30mm weapon systems. The contract amendment is for an additional amount
of $7.6m and delivery of all equipment is for no later 30 November 2026.
