BVC.L and MTI Wireless MWEE.L down 7-14% amid military
conflict in Middle East
** Fighters from Islamist group Hamas killed 700 Israelis
and abducted dozens in Saturday's attacks, the deadliest such
incursion in 50 years, prompting Israel to retaliate by pounding
the Palestinian enclave of Gaza
** Top loser Energean hits an over 1.5-year low of 889
pence; co has operations in Karish North and Tanin fields,
offshore Israel
** Meanwhile, networking co BVC says it does not expect the
conflict to have a material impact on trading
