Aug 1 (Reuters) - German holding company Mutares MUXG.DE is being audited by the federal financial authority BaFin, the regulator said on Friday, sending shares of the company falling 24% in early Frankfurt trade.
The authority, which initiated its audit at the end of July, said it had "concrete evidence" Mutares violated accounting regulations.
The regulator said the information Mutares provided on the remaining maturity of receivables from affiliated companies may be incorrect.
BaFin also said Mutares' management report may be "incomplete" when it comes to the further economic development of the company.
