    Australia regulator gives conditional nod to Dutch firm's Namoi takeover

    Aug 1 (Reuters) - A Dutch overseas commodities firm's
deal, which has been set to test the appetite of local
regulators, to takeover Australia's Namoi Cotton  NAM.AX  will
not be opposed by the country's competition watchdog. 
    The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission said on
Thursday it will not go against the Dutch merchant firm Louis
Dreyfus’ proposal, under certain conditions.
