Nanobiotix jumps on promising cancer therapy data

** U.S.-listed shares of French drug developer Nanobiotix SA NANOB.PA, NBTX.O rise 15.7% to $21.68 premarket

** Co said on Wednesday its experimental cancer therapy, JNJ-1900, showed promising early results in small group of patients with esophageal cancer - disease where cancer cells form in tube that carries food from throat to stomach

** In early-stage trial, 13 patients with locally advanced esophageal adenocarcinoma received the therapy

** Cancer was controlled in 11 patients, with nine showing measurable response, including six complete responses where cancer disappeared

** JNJ-1900 is injected into tumors and activated by radiation to enhance effects of standard treatments, potentially helping patients avoid surgery

** As of last close, NBTX up 552% YTD
