** Nanoveu NVU.AX slides as much as 12.8% to A$0.034; marks biggest intraday pct loss since April 7

** Stock hits one-week low

** Nanotechnology firm receives commitments to raise A$2.3 mln ($1.5 mln) via placement at A$0.031

** Issue price a 20.5% discount to close on Monday, before it went on trading halt pending the placement announcement

** Around 3.6 mln shares traded vs the 30-day avg of 1.6 mln

** NVU last down 10.3%, trimming YTD gains to 2.9%
