The Nasdaq and the S&P 500 dropped 3% on Wednesday as a rally in growth shares
faded amid economic growth concerns, while Target plunged to the bottom of the
S&P 500 after the retailer became the latest victim of surging prices. .N 
    At 1350 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 3.28% at
31,582.59. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 3.71% at 3,937.15 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was down 4.37% at 11,460.495.
