U.S. stocks inched higher on Friday, as declines in chip and retail stocks after
weak results for Nvidia Corp and Nordstrom Inc were offset by gains in energy
and healthcare stocks.  .N 
    At 11:17 a.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.21
percent at 25,343.63. The S&P 500  .SPX  was unchanged at 2,730.26 and the
Nasdaq Composite  .IXIC  was down 0.49 percent at 7,223.63.
