The Dow and the S&P were slightly higher on Friday, after gains in the consumer
staples sector, boosted by Kraft Heinz's strong earnings, were offset by data
which showed job growth slowed in July and as China proposed new tariffs on $60
billion worth of U.S. goods.  .N 
    At 11:03 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.22 percent at
25,381.22. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.14 percent at 2,831.21 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was down 0.15 percent at 7,790.801.
