Operating profit on a non-statutory basis is presented before certain items, namely own credit adjustments, gain on
redemption of own debt, write-down of goodwill and strategic disposals. RFS Holdings minority interest was also a
reconciling item for the periods ended 30 September 2014. 
 
In addition, restructuring costs and litigation and conduct costs are presented separately within operating expenses on a
non-statutory basis. 
 
The following table shows how these items are presented in the statutory income statement.
