U.S. stocks rose on Monday as gains in the technology and consumer discretionary
sectors helped extend Friday's rally, with investors focused on the ongoing
U.S.-China trade talks.  .N 
    At 12:04 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.57 percent at
23,567.25. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 1.04 percent at 2,558.39 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was up 1.41 percent at 6,833.901.
