** Shares of New Gold Inc  NGD.TO  jump 11% to C$1.68;
biggest pct. gain in six months
    ** The gold miner appoints Yohann Bouchard as executive vice
president and chief operating officer
    ** Previously, Bouchard was senior vice president and chief
operating officer at Yamana Gold
    ** Bouchard joined Yamana in October 2014 and was
responsible for its mining operations in the Americas
    ** Yamana had agreed to be acquired by Agnico Eagle Mines
Ltd  AEM.TO  and Pan American Silver Corp  PAAS.TO  last year
    ** NGD also promotes Ankit Shah, who joined the company in
2010, to executive vice president, strategy and business
development
    ** New Gold stock up 26% so far this year, including session
gains
