** Prices rise on dip-buying, but on track for second straight monthly fall as elevated oil prices keep fears of inflation and higher-for-longer interest rates alive
** Top miners Newmont NEM.N and Barrick Mining B.N up 1.5% and 1.3% respectively
** South African miners: Gold Fields GFI.N up 2.2%, Harmony Gold HMY.N gains ~4% and AngloGold Ashanti AU.N up ~2%
** Canadian miners: Agnico Eagle Mines AEM.N up 2.4% and Kinross Gold KGC.N rises 1.7%
