** Canadian uranium miner NexGen's NXE.TO shares rise 2.7% to C$7.03

** Company says Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) has proposed commission hearing dates for NexGen's Rook I project to be conducted on November 19, 2025 and February 9 to 13, 2026

** While the two-part hearing might come as a negative, from a single meeting expected previously, a positive approval might come in Q2 2026, after which NexGen could begin its 42 month-long construction and get to first production in 2030 - TD Cowen

** News of tech firms such as Amazon and Google pledging to support tripling of nuclear capacity might be offsetting weakness in NXE's stock - TD Cowen

** Including session gains, stock down 25.8% YTD
