** Next NXT.L rises nearly 3% to 13,971p; amongst top gainers on the FTSE 100 index .FTSE, which is up 0.46%

** Clothing retailer raises year to January 2026 pre-tax profit outlook to 1.15 bln pounds ($1.56 billion) from 1.135 bln pounds - fifth upgrade in past year

** Posts better-than-expected 10.6% rise in full-price sales for nine weeks to Dec. 27

** Forecast full-price sales growth of 4.5% and pre-tax profit of 1.20 bln pounds for FY26-FY27

** In 2025, stock rose 44% vs .FTSE's 21.5% gain
