Wall Street's main indexes tumbled about 2 percent on Friday
after a raft of weak manufacturing data from the United States
and Europe led to an inverted yield curve, stoking fears of an
economic slowdown.  .N 
    At 1304 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down
1.39 percent at 25,600.39. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 1.51
percent at 2,811.81 and the Nasdaq Composite  .IXIC  was down
1.90 percent at 7,690.234.
