** Australian technology stocks .AXIJ rise as much as 0.9% to 3,019.2 points, their biggest intraday pct gain since July 18

** Sub-index tracks its U.S. peers higher, which gained as Wall Street rallied with tech-heavy Nasdaw closing at record high .N

** ASX-listed shares of Xero XRO.AX gain as much as 1.5% while NEXTDC NXT.AX up 1%

** AXIJ up 9.6% this year, including the day's move
