    ** Co doses first patient in early stage study of its

    ** Study will evaluate efficacy, safety of NGM707 when given
alone or in combination with Merck's  MRK.N  Keytruda
    ** About 180 patients expected to be enrolled in study
    ** NGM707 is designed to improve tumor responses in cancer
patients by reprogramming immuno-suppressive myeloid cells - NGM
    ** Shares rose as much as 8% on July 1, after co extended

    ** Stock has lost about 27% YTD
