India's NHPC falls after block deals at discount

** Shares of state-run power generator NHPC  NHPC.NS  fell
as much as 5.7% to 86.85 rupees
    ** Nearly 3.2 mln shares of co changed hands in block deals
priced between 87.05-89.65 rupees per share vs last close price
of 90.20 rupees - LSEG data
    ** NHPC trimmed some losses, last down about 2.5%   
    ** Fall amid broader sell-off in the markets, Nifty 50
 .NSEI  down 0.7% 
    ** NHPC share price at 29% premium to median PT of 6
analysts covering the stock - LSEG data
    ** Current average recommendation equivalent to "hold" vs
equivalent to "buy" at the start 2024 - LSEG data 
    ** Stock up 39% YTD; it rose nearly 63% in 2023, its third
straight year of gains
