India New Issue-NHPC accepts bids for 10-year bonds, bankers say

MUMBAI, Jan 23 (Reuters) - India's NHPC  NHPC.NS  has accepted bids worth 24.89 billion
rupees ($287.7 million) for bonds maturing in 10 years, three merchant bankers said on Thursday.
    The state-run hydroelectric power company will pay an annual coupon of 7.20% and had invited
coupon and commitment bids for the issue earlier in the day, they said.
    NHPC did not immediately reply to a Reuters email seeking comment.
