** Shares of broadcasting firm Nine Entertainment NEC.AX soar 8% to A$1.8375, their highest level since February 16, 2024

** Stock rose as much as 11.4% in early trade, marking its best one-day rally since February 21

** Stock among top gainers in the ASX200 benchmark index .AXJO, which is trading largely flat, as of 0056 GMT

** Reports FY25 underlying NPAT after minorities A$166.1 million ($107.93 million), below last year's A$189 million but 9% ahead of Visible Alpha consensus

** Declares final dividend of 4 AU cents per share, and special dividend of 49 AU cents

** "A strong result relative to expectations" - Jarden analysts

** NEC up 48% this year, including the day's move
