** NEC leads declines in the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 .AXJO, which is down 0.37%

** The diversified media firm trades ex-dividend; pays final dividend of 4 Australian cents per share and special dividend of 49 Australian cents apiece

** Around 17.1 million shares change hands; nearly 2.4x 30-day average

** NEC stock last down 8.3%, bringing YTD losses to 10.1%
