Yellen declines to coment on reports that Biden might block US Steel-Nippon deal
Sept 5 (Reuters) - U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen
on Thursday declined to comment on reports that the Biden
administration is poised to block the U.S. Steel-Nippon Steel
deal but said the U.S. welcomes foreign direct investment.
Speaking to reporters in North Carolina, Yellen said the
U.S. has a rigorous process to look at national security
implications of such transactions.
