Finland's Nokian Tyres names Paolo Pompei as new CEO (updated)

       July 20 (Reuters) - Finland's Nokian Tyres  TYRES.HE 
has appointed Paolo Pompei as its new chief executive officer,
the company said on Saturday.
    Pompei will start in the position on Jan. 1, 2025, the
company added.
    He will replace Jukka Moisio who announced his retirement in
March this year. 
    Pompei was most recently the President of Yokohama TWS,
formerly named Trelleborg WheelSystems where he held the
position since 2017.
    The Finnish tyre maker on Friday posted
second-quarteroperating profit roughly in line with expectations
and flagged challenging market conditions.
