Sept 18 (Reuters) - German automotive and industrial supplier Norma Group NOEJ.DE said on Thursday it has received binding offers from a small number of bidders for the acquisition of its water management business.
Shares were up 4.1% at 1541 GMT.
The statement comes after Bloomberg News reported, citing people familiar with the matter, that U.S.-based Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS) was in advanced talks to buy the division in a deal valuing it at about 850 million euros ($1 billion).
ADS did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
After the negotiations are finalized and an agreement is reached, the company will publish the details, Norma Group said in a statement.
