Norsk Hydro flags up to $210 million hit from gas disruption at Alunorte Oct 5 (Reuters) - Norsk Hydro NHY.OL said on Monday that a disruption to its natural gas deliveries at its Alunorte refinery in Brazil could result in a financial hit of up to $210 million in the second half of 2026.
Hydro estimated the impact on its Bauxite & Alumina unit from lower production and gas purchases above contracted prices at $75 million to $100 million in the third quarter. The estimated gas-arbitrage impact at Alunorte for the fourth quarter is seen at $90 million to $110 million.
