Novocure plunges as electric-signal therapy fails ovarian cancer study

** Novocure's  NVCR.O  shares fall 35.8% to $19.10
premarket, among the biggest decliners across U.S. exchanges
before the open 
    ** Co says a combination of its experimental therapy and
chemotherapy failed to extend survival in patients with a type
of ovarian cancer in a late-stage study 
    ** Novocure's therapy generates electric fields to kill
cancer cells 
    ** Shares of Novocure, which had a market cap of $3.2 bln as
of last close, have fallen nearly 40% since a separate trial in
June testing the therapy in lung cancer patients raised
questions around its commercial success
