** Shares of the drug developer NCNA.O rise 30.8% to $3.10
premarket
** Co says U.S. FDA has granted fast track designation to
its experimental therapy, Acelarin, for treatment of patients
with advanced biliary tract cancer, in which malignant cells
form in bile ducts (https://refini.tv/3F3X3Hy)
** Acelarin is currently being tested in a late-stage study
in patients with advanced biliary tract cancer
** Fast track designation helps accelerate development and
review process of drugs being investigated to treat serious
conditions and fill unmet medical needs
** Co had earlier said that data from first interim trial
analysis, expected in H1 of 2022, may support a submission for
marketing approval in U.S. under FDA's accelerated approval
program
** Stock has lost 47.2% this year, as of last close
