** Shares of insurance firm Jackson Financial  JXN.N  rise
7.4% to $37.18 premarket
    ** S&P Dow Jones Indices says JXN is set to join the S&P
SmallCap 600  .SPCY  effective Sept 1, replacing NexTier
Oilfield Solutions  NEX.N 
    ** Separately, Goosehead Insurance  GSHD.O  to replace
NuVasive  NUVA.O  in SPCY index
    ** NEX slips 0.6% in low trading volume; GSHD and NUVA were
not trading before the bell
    ** JXN down 0.5% so far this year
