** Construction firm posts Q3 adj EPS of 68 cents, beating analysts' estimate of 47 cents, according to data compiled by LSEG

** Q3 revenue $3.40 billion vs est of $4.20 billion

** In October, Reuters reported that Starboard Value is building a stake, aiming to unlock value from Fluor's 40% holding in nuclear reactor developer NuScale Power SMR.N

** As of last close, FLR stock was down 9.6% YTD
