U.S. stock indexes were trading largely flat in a choppy session on Tuesday on
worries over the impact of rising inflation on upcoming third-quarter earnings,
while Tesla gained after record China-made vehicles sales.  .N 
    At 12:17 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.19% at
34,563.1. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.23% at 4,371.3 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was up 0.26% at 14,523.866.
