** Shares of U.S. chemical and fertilizer companies slide in early trading
** Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said the Strait of Hormuz was open following a ceasefire accord but U.S. President Donald Trump said the naval blockade on Iran would "remain in full force" until a deal to end the war was reached
** Shares of Dow DOW.N fell 10.7%, CF Industries CF.N lost 9.6%, and LyondellBasell LYB.N shed 8.9% - all to their lowest in over a month
** Mosaic MOS.N slipped 1.6% and U.S.-listed shares of Nutrien NTR.N lost 4.8% to a near two-month low
** These stocks had seen robust gains since the blockage of Hormuz, through which many fertilizers are shipped
** The S&P 1500 Composite Chemicals index .SPCOMPM and the S&P 1500 Fertilizers & Agriculture Chemicals sub-index .SPCOMCHFA lost 1.2% and 3.4% respectively
