Wall Street's main indexes slipped on Thursday, as President Donald Trump's latest tariff gambit sent auto stocks into a tailspin, while investors sifted through a slew of economic indicators.  .N

At  11:30 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was down 0.11% at 42,409.87. The S&P 500 .SPX was up 0.13% at 5,719.90, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was up 0.19% at 17,933.18.
