Wall Street seesawed between marginal gains and losses on Thursday, as investors grappled with President Donald Trump's latest trade gambit that sent auto stocks into a tailspin, all while digesting a myriad of economic data. .N

At  13:30 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was down 0.46% at 42,258.88.The S&P 500 .SPX was down 0.39% at 5,689.99, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was down 0.48% at 17,813.32.
