Jan 19 (Reuters) - India's Oberoi Realty OEBO.NS reported a 0.7% increase in quarterly profit on Monday, mainly aided by sales of existing housing projects in the key Mumbai market amid no fresh launches.
Consolidated net profit for the firm came in at 6.23 billion rupees ($68.6 million) for the October-December period, as compared to 6.18 billion a year ago. Revenue from operations rose nearly 6%.
The firm also flagged a one-off hit of 230.6 million rupees, as a part of a wage overhaul tied to India's new labour regulations.

KEY CONTEXT
Luxury housing-focused Oberoi Realty had no new launches in the three months through December, analysts at Jefferies and Ambit Capital said, with inventory of previously-launched projects driving sales.
Indian real estate developers have capitalised on a post-pandemic shift in buyer preferences towards larger, amenity-rich apartments by securing land deals and swiftly launching new projects.
With the frenzy cooling in some parts of the country, homebuilders are pivoting from chasing higher sales towards timing launches as per shifts in demand, analysts have said.
