ABIDJAN, Feb 16 (Reuters) - Ivory Coast's cocoa grind slipped 2.1% year-on-year in January to 61,914 metric tons of beans, data from exporters' association GEPEX showed on Monday.

The total grind from the start of the 2025/26 season in October reached 227,472 tons by the end of January, down 7.4% compared with the same period last season.

The GEPEX data covers six of the largest grinding companies, including Barry Callebaut BARN.S , Olam OLAG.SI and Cargill Inc.

Ivory Coast has a total grinding capacity of around 750,000 tons. It is the world's top cocoa producer and vies with the Netherlands for the leading spot for grinding.
