Ivory Coast cocoa grind fell 4.7% y/y in February, exporters association says

ABIDJAN, March 19 (Reuters) - Ivory Coast's cocoa grind fell 4.7% year-on-year in February to 52,461 metric tons, data from exporter association GEPEX showed on Wednesday.

The total grind from the start of the 2024/25 season in October till the end of February stood at 298,010 tons of beans, down 0.3% from the same period last season.

The GEPEX data covers six of the largest grinding companies, including Barry Callebaut BARN.S, Olam OLAG.SI and Cargill Inc CARG.UL.

Ivory Coast has a total grinding capacity of 712,000 tons. It is the world's top cocoa producer and vies alongside the Netherlands for the leading grinder spot.
