POLITICS
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Monday called on
her country's wealthy citizens to buy sovereign bonds, as part
of a drive to have an increasing amount of the government's debt
in domestic hands and limit the impact of any future financial
crises.
DEBT
Italy will offer up to 5 billion euros ($5.44 billion) in
short-term and inflation-linked BTP bonds at a Jan. 25 auction,
the Treasury said on Monday.
The spread between Italian and German 10-year borrowing
costs hit a seven-month low on Monday as yields fell slightly
after rising sharply the previous week.
Treasury to announce sale of 6-month BOT bills, with
relative amounts to be auctioned on Jan. 26.
ENERGY
Wind and solar energy production hit a record last year in
Italy, as the country more than doubled its newly-installed
green source capacity, power grid operator Terna TRN.MI said
on Monday.
COMPANIES
ENEL ENEI.MI
Italy's biggest utility said on Monday it concluded a share
buyback programme for around 26.5 million euros. It now owns
0.0992% of the total share capital.
FERRAGAMO SFER.MI
The luxury group said on Monday it had appointed Pierre La
Tour as its new chief financial officer, with effect from March
18.
OLIDATA OLI.MI
The ICT sector company presented on Monday a new industrial
plan which targeted an increase in revenues to about 126 million
euros in 2026 and growth through M&A deals.
The company also reported preliminary revenues rising to
around 100 million euros in 2023, from 50 million euros a year
before, and full-year preliminary core earnings (EBITDA) of
around 6 million euros, up from 1.9 million euros in 2022.
IPO, KRUSO KAPITAL, BANCA SISTEMA BSTA.MI
Banca Sistema's BSTA.MI unit, a collateral lender and
auctioneer for art, precious metals and cars, said on Monday it
would start trading in Milan's Euronext Growth on Jan. 24.
It added that the initial offering price was set at 1.86
euros per share, with floating at around 15.29% of share
capital.
