** J.P.Morgan analyst Anne Samuel says healthcare tech firms
Phreesia Inc PHR.N , R1 RCM Inc RCM.O , Omnicell Inc OMCL.O
and Health Catalyst Inc HCAT.O are key players that should
benefit from healthcare labor shortages
** COVID accelerated the labor headwinds healthcare industry
was facing due to an aging U.S. population, which increases the
need for care while reducing the labor force
** Samuel views healthcare technology companies as
well-positioned to tackle labor shortage in the long term
through automating and streamlining workforce performance
** PHR, RCM, OMCL and HCAT should benefit from this trend,
given their high proportion of revenue from these solutions -
Samuel
** Says the solutions are meant to address the front-end of
care, such as intake and treating the patient, as well as the
back-end of care like billing, claims and coding
** Adds that this will allow care providers to focus on the
patient and reduce cost
** Up to Wednesday's close, HCAT down 43%, PHR down 57%, RCM
down 14.5% in the last 12 months, while OMCL up 19.3%
