Omnicom tops quarterly revenue estimates on strong ad demand
Omnicom tops quarterly revenue estimates on strong ad demand July 28 (Reuters) - Omnicom OMC.N beat Wall Street expectations for second-quarter revenue on Tuesday, driven by resilient demand for its advertising, digital marketing and branding services.
Omnicom's acquisition of Interpublic has positioned it as the world's biggest ad group, giving it an edge in winning bigger, more integrated client accounts.
Here are some details:
Omnicom, which owns major advertising and marketing brands including BBDO, TBWA and DDB, posted revenue of $6.56 billion, above analysts' average estimate of $6.49 billion, according to data compiled by LSEG.
On an adjusted basis, Omnicom earned $2.65 per share, beating expectations of $2.58 per share.
CEO John Wren said the company is focusing on agentic marketing and expanding partnerships with clients.
Omnicom's results come as ad groups fend off growing competition from Big Tech platforms like Google, Meta and TikTok, which increasingly offer their own advanced ad-creation tools directly to marketers.
