UK's competition watchdog clears Omnicom's $13.25 billion deal to buy Interpublic
Aug 6 (Reuters) - Britain's competition regulator said on Wednesday it would not refer the $13.25 billion merger between advertising giants Omnicom group OMC.N and Interpublic Group IPG.N to an in-depth phase 2 probe. Omnicom struck the all-stock deal for rival Interpublic in December, creating the world's largest advertising agency. The deal is expected to close in the second half of the year.
