The following factors could affect Italian markets on Friday.

    POLITICS 
    A deal between Italy's main political parties on electoral 
reform unraveled on Thursday, leading to calls for a snap 
election that could usher in more instability in the euro zone's

    ECONOMY 
    Rating agency Moody's reviews sovereign debt rating on 
Italy. 
     
    COMPANIES 
    UNICREDIT  CRDI.MI , INTESA SANPAOLO  ISP.MI , VENETO BANKS 
    UniCredit's director general Gianni Franco Papa, asked 
whether Italy's leading banks were considering contributing to 
the rescue of the two Veneto-based lenders, said on Thursday the 
banking system was "working to find a solution, whatever that

(*) Talks are ongoing to reduce the 1.25 billion euros private 
capital injection asked for by Brussles by 600-700 million 
euros, Messaggero said. The paper said Intesa Sanpaolo was more 
cautious on playing a part in the capital injection, seeking 
commitments from EU authorities no further requests would be 
made. 
    Banco BPM  BAMI.MI , UBI  UBI.MI  and BPER are cold on the 
idea of stumping up more money to help fund the Veneto banks, La 
Repubblica said.

    Board meeting on no-confidence vote on CEO Guido Bastianini. 
(*) The ECB had asked the bank for a capital increase of around 
600 million euros instead of 450 million euros planned by the 
lender, Il Sole 24 Ore said, adding top shareholder Vittorio 
Malacalza complained he had not been informed by the CEO and CFO 
in this regard.

    Wise Sgr has sold a stake of 2.42 percent in the company on 
behalf of Wisequity II, it said late on Thursday, adding the 
sale took place at 11 euros per share. Wise now holds 2.55 
percent in the company.
